French Bedroom

I recently finished this mural for a ten year old girl's bedroom. They wanted something with pink and black. She's a cheerleader, and wanted a fashion/diva/French theme. Here's what I came up with!

The style of this room was different from anything I'd done before, and I enjoyed the challenge and creativity. They had a beautiful house set in the country, and Mrs. Felton and her family were incredibly fun and kind while I worked away upstairs.

Beach Bedroom Mural

This was painted in Mrs. Council's room this past August:

Lilies

This painting was a bit of a stretch for me. It's a 24" by 24" canvas, gallery wrap. This was one of the first times that I've taken something so small - the lilies - and blown it up to 3x it's size. Most of the time I keep things life-sized or smaller.

I painted this wall in the back patio of the Music Cafe in Damascus. It was my first outdoor mural, and the weather was, on average, 95 degrees outside. However, despite the hot weather, it was a great experience! The employees and the owner of the cafe - Randy Emerson - were so friendly and encouraging, and I enjoyed the subject matter. Not to mention, I was able to eat the Music Cafe's food...

Here's the painting I worked on during the second snow storm of the week:

Snowed In

Well, this past Friday, one of the biggest snow storms in the history of Gaithersburg struck the earth, leaving me trapped inside of my house. I had nothing to do, so I made another painting while watching Food Network and eating popcorn.

And by the way, the cheese in the painting is smoked Gouda, my favorite cheese out of all cheeses. I am now eating it to celebrate.

Narnia Mural

During the second half of winter break, I worked on a mural in Evelyn Mays's room. It was a real pleasure, to be honest. Their house is beautiful, and their family is incredibly warm and welcoming. Evelyn wanted a Narnia theme (specifically from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe), so here's how it came out:
