My art workshop trip to Tilghman's Island:

Last month, my parents took me to a workshop at Tilghman's Island as a graduation gift. I stayed in the tiny town for a three day weekend, eating lots of good food and painting at various nostalgic locations. It was a great experience, except for the fact that the bar across the street from our hotel blasted karaoke late into the night...which was impressive considering that most everyone there was retired.


Anyway, here are some pictures:





Painting a sunset plein air was an interesting experience. I'd never done it before, and I had to scramble to get the colors down before the scene suddenly changed. By the end, I'd altered the colors so many times that I gave up on capturing it perfectly. It was, however, one of the most beautiful sunsets I'd ever seen :)
